California Legacy Well Services hosted an informational virtual meeting on July 9, 2025, to inform residents and community members about orphan wells that we will be plugging and sealing this summer and fall.
An “orphan well” is an oil or gas well that has been orphaned or deserted by its operator. The orphan wells are located in the Kern Front Oil Field, northeast of the intersection of Granite Road and James Road in Oildale, Calif.
